Growing into Greatness with God is my first inspirational book for children. This is not the first book that I have written but the first to survive the long journey to becoming published.  If there is a book in your heart, write it!  Once you book has been written, a dream will have been realized and you will feel a great sense of accomplishment and freedom.  Self-publication is relatively painless and there are many resources (I have provided a list below) that can help you find an agent/publisher, if you choose to go the traditional route.

"Every child matters. Every child is unique.
Every child is born with greatness."

Do you dream of becoming a writer?  Just write - stories, notes, random thoughts, blog posts, letters to friends.  Read books in the genre that interest you to discover your writing style, how good writers construct their stories and the type of stories that may interest your audience.

If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have time to write.
— Stephen King

Writing is an area where being an introvert is a bonus!  If you prefer to write your thoughts rather than speak them, then start writing - you are well ahead of the game.

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.
— Maya Angelou

Being a writer and being a published writer are two different dreams.  One requires writing ability, the other requires tenacity, shameless self-promotion and sheer luck.
