You can’t use up creativity. Mother Maya said it and I believe it. When I started writing poetry, I believed that it was a fluke. I am an attorney, I write legal briefs, I don’t have the creative mind that can consistently create poetry. Because of this mindset, I didn’t share my poetry with anyone and I didn’t think that I would have enough creativity to write an entire book. I was wrong. Once I embraced the idea that I too could be creative, the flood gates opened and words started pouring on the page. I wrote daily for a few months, sometimes spending several days on a short poem but the work was exciting and I fell in love with the art of poetry.
