Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. described Marcus Garvey as the “first man of color in the history of the United States to lead and develop a mass movement to give millions of Negroes a sense of dignity and destiny and make the Negro feel he was somebody.” 

On Writing: When you find yourself doubting your abilities or worrying about time wasted, remember that the discipline of writing is also a beautiful form of art and art is a long game.  You are conceiving,  innovating, building, and creating magic. Be patient with the process of birthing something new. Give yourself guilt-free permission to rest, exercise, surf the web, meditate and then try again. The inspiration will come; your job is to never lose faith in your art or give up on yourself.

Dr. King taught us that the strength, conviction and action of one person can change the world.  Continue to walk in the footsteps of a King.  Never stop fighting for the right to live with honor and dignity, as one human race.
